I'm Jay and I am a food accessibility advocate committed to helping disadvantaged communities go from surviving to thriving. Growing up a military kid I lived in many different socio economic households that had one thing in common: the humans inside the home all needed to eat to be whole daily. I founded Keeping Us Secure & Prosperous to focus on the communities that need support most. My work focuses on creating holistic programs and collaborations that help the community get emergency, in the moment help, linked to a network of support for a longer term. I am passionate about creating increased avenues of accessibility to food and is interested in collaborating with others with that passion to work together to better serve the community.
I'm Mx and my pronouns are they/them. I am a non-binary queer with a fervent belief in the power of mutual aid. Witnessing the impact of accessible fridges in the 757 solidified my dedication to bridging gaps and empowering communities. My experience fostering these initiatives equipped me with valuable learnings and connections, which I'm eager to leverage alongside K.U.S.P. I look forward to collaborating with diverse perspectives and driving meaningful change for our community.
I’m Indigo and my community connections are my fuel! From Community Fridges to mutual aid work across various sectors, I am proud to have experienced the power of people working together towards an impactful purpose and hope to continue this further through K.U.S.P. My journey with this organization is rooted in learning and collaboration. I'm eager to soak up the wisdom of fellow board members, listen to community needs, and contribute my fresh perspective to K.U.S.P.'s impactful work. Together, we will cultivate a stronger, more interconnected community where everyone, I mean EVERYONE, can flourish!
